We will not belabor the common supplemental support for virus (vitamin D, etc.) however, there are a few agents that provide strong support for virus that you may have passed by.
First is Berberine HCL: Berberine HCl is a plant alkaloid of Goldenseal and/or Oregon Grape Root. It is currently being used (in the majority) for support of increased A1c, increased LDL cholesterol, Type II Diabetes and support of the microbiome (for you old-timers like me the gut). However, the original literature on Berberine HCl described its ability as a natural antibiotic and antiviral (Defining The Mechanism Of Action Against Influenza, Laster, N. Carolina U., Anti-Influenza Activity Of Berberine Improves Prognosis By Reducing Viral Replication, Yan and Associates, Phytotherapy Research and Antiviral Activity Of Berberine, Warowicka and Associates, Archives of Virology).
These are just three of the myriad of literature citations that support Berberine HCl with viral problems. Clinical feedback on Berberine HCl and virus has also been excellent.
Next is Olive Leaf: According to Life Sciences, Journal of Applied Bacteriology, The Lancet, Nutrients, and Chemotherapy, phenolated compounds such as oleuropein, rutin, luteolin-7-glycoside flavone and hesperidin, found in olive leaf and bud, are effective anti-viral and anti-microbial agents.
